Au Pair wanted Jan/Feb 2018 - Burns Beach
A loving and caring family of four is looking for their first female Au Pair to become part of their family. The family has two gorgeous children who are 6 and 1 year old. The 6 year old goes full time to school, so you would mainly be looking after the 1 year old. The parents are trying to be around as much as possible before and after school hours to spend time with their children. The family is looking for an Au Pair who can help out with the care for the 1 year old and who doesn’t mind helping out with preparing dinner and occasionally the full evening routine. The hours would be 30 hours a week with a set full day on Friday and other days flexible but mainly mornings for the school run and afternoon till early evening.
The family spends as much time together and even tough they are busy they still have plenty of time to do activities with the children on the weekend and being there for the children after school hours. The mum usually eats early with the children and she would be happy to have an Au Pair who would love to do the same. The parents will do school drop off and pick up for the 6 year old themselves, and would like the Au Pair to do an activity at that time or stay at home with the 1 year old. With an Au Pair the family will have more flexibility to get the 1 year old in week activities that the Au Pair can take the 1 year old to.
The family lives in Burns Beach, which is north of the city centre of Perth and really close to the coast. Being able to drive a car is not necessary for this position, it would be a bonus for the family and for yourself. Everything is within walking distance. A 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach where it is amazing to swim and with a lovely café. A 5 minute walk to the bus stop that goes directly to Joondalup and from there you can go wherever you want.
Essential for this position is that the Au Pair loves children, is caring, loving, flexible and able to look after a one year old during the day. This involves all care for the one year old that is necessary on a day to day bases. For example, meal times, nappy changes, settle the little one for her day sleep, preparing meals, going on walks, to the park, to other activities and making sure that the little one is happy. Your time with the 6 year old will mainly be limited to before and after school unless it is school holidays.
