Au Pair wanted May 2018
Are you able to multi-task? Do you like a challenge? Do you want to be part of a family and go out on adventures with them?
If you are up for this then contact us now to become part of a lovely family of 6 in Nedlands. See where the challenge and multi-tasking comes in… looking after 4 children can be challenging, but mostly lots and lots of fun. The children are all very well behaved and you wouldn’t have them all four at the same time a lot. The children are in the age that they all go to school, at the moment one is still home 2 days a week, which means that you can do lots of activities on those days with the youngest. You’ll mainly spend your time with the other children before and after school and occasionally on the weekend if the family needs an extra set of hands.
This placement will help you develop organisation skills and most important of all to divide your love and attention over four children. The children had Au Pairs in the past and they absolutely loved having a big sister, they get very attached to them and would love to spend as much time as possible with the Au Pair.
The family prefers to have an Au Pair as part of their family in stead of needing to use after school care and day care when the parents. The parents both work full time, where the dad occasionally travels for work and the mum works shifts. With the shift work of the mum it means that she can have lots of time off during the day or that she has long days at work. For you as their Au Pair this means that you would have a different schedule every week, but one that is organised for you so that you can still plan activities in your free time.
With this placement you will help out the family for around 30 hours a week and they will provide for you weekly pocket money and room and board. You will have your own very large bedroom with TV and Netflix. You’ll have unlimited WiFi to use and you’re able to use all other facilities of the house as well. The family has a large swimming pool, which comes in very handy to entertain the children after school.
The family lives in the beautiful suburb of Nedlands, which is conveniently located between the city centre of Perth and the ocean, and on top of that you’re close to the river as well. Public transport is really easy in that area and it will bring you to wherever you want in Perth. With the children going to school you’ll have a lot of time during the day to explore in between school drop off and pick up.
The family is looking for an Au Pair that is happy, sociable, energetic, mature and understands the responsibility that comes with looking after children. You would need a drivers licence for this position and be comfortable driving in Australia. The family understands that you might not be comfortable yet and they will guide you with this. A First-Aid certificate would be preferable, or at least willing to obtain one.
