What happens if the Au Pair doesn't suit out family?

In the event the Au Pair is a poor fit with our family, what are the costs to replace them?

There is no guarantee as to the satisfaction or the compatibility of any particular candidate as an Au Pair for a Host Family. Aussie Au Pair Services will endeavour to resolve any difficulties regarding the placement, and due to the extensive recruitment process we go through to find your family a compatible Au Pair, rarely does the Au Pair end up a poor fit.

Our Case Manager will first work with you both to do everything she can to resolve the issues in the placement, but ultimately if the Au Pair is at fault and doesn't turn out to be a good match for your family for reasons out of your control, we will do our best to find a replacement at no charge to you.

However, if our case manager assesses that the Au Pair is not at fault but you still feel the need for a different Au Pair, we would have to negotiate the placement fee for your replacement Au Pair.

Because of our recruitment process, inductions and the ongoing support that we offer, it is very rare that there ends up being an unhappy placement. However, we know that every situation is different and sometimes things just don't work out, this is why we are flexible and understanding when these situations arise.

In the event the Au Pair is a poor fit with our family, what are the timelines to replace them?

This is completely dependent on the Au Pair environment at the time. For example, currently it may be difficult to replace the Au Pair immediately due to the shortage of Au Pairs nationwide. On average, it takes 8+ weeks to find an Au Pair for your family. The matching process is highly time-intensive to ensure that the Au Pair matches the needs of your family, and that you are the family that will suit the profile the Au pair has given us. The Au Pairs are normally living in their respective home country while we are matching them with their Host Families, and the matching process also normally requires time for them to book flights and apply for their visas.

There is no warranty as to the satisfaction or the compatibility of any particular candidate as an Au Pair for a Host Family. We will endeavor to resolve any difficulties regarding the placement.
